The wedding of Joe and Ruth took place at St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Lea, Lancashire, on 9th February 1937 at 2 o’clock. Amoung the invited guests were my nan and grandad, and I am lucky enough to still have the original invitation that was sent to them. (I keep checking newspaper records online to see if the marriage was ever reported in the local newspapers, but as yet I have had no luck. Another quick update, but not much has happened this month as I have had a lot going on with my family.
